La Vanille Crocodile Park:

La Vanille Nature Park is a 3.5-hectare reserve that has been there since 1985 and is situated in the southern part of the island. Its main goals are the wellbeing of the various animal species that call the park home as well as the preservation of nature .
The park is home to hundreds of Nile crocodiles that are grown there, and it is abundant with palm trees and gigantic bamboo that provide a lush, green habitat for them. The enormous tortoises known as “Aldabra” reside in semi-liberty; Domino, one of them, is over 100 years old and 275 kg in weight.

The largest park of “Aldabra” and “Radiata” tortoises kept in captivity worldwide is La Vanille Nature Park. During your stay, you may come across the following park inhabitants: peacocks, geese, gators, goats, lemur cats, goats, tortoises, iguanas, crocodiles from the Nile, sheep, and goats.

Gris Gris:
The beach known as Gris Gris is situated in the island’s far south. This small stretch of beach lacks a coral reef, yet the large waves that smash on the coast provide visitors with breathtaking views. The tranquil sea of Gris Gris beach sets it apart from other renowned beaches in the South.

The only spot in Mauritius where swimming is strictly prohibited for both professionals and enthusiasts is Gris Gris, as the area’s powerful currents and massive waves make swimming completely impracticable.

It’s important to remember that Gris Gris is a very dangerous beach, despite its stunning golden beach and deep blue sea!

By following the trail that leads to the crying rock at the back of the parking lot, you may truly appreciate this spectacle. There, you will be treated to an excellent view of a sizable rock where the waves thud loudly and violently break.

Rhumery chamarel:

The history of the Chamarel distillery is ancient and deeply rooted in the rum-making traditions of Mauritius. Among the newest distilleries in Mauritius is the Chamarel one. The Couacaud family bought Domaine de l’Exil near Chamarel in 1996. The property has 220 hectares of sugarcane farmland. Following years of deliberation, the family ultimately chose in 2008 to construct the distillery from the ground up with the exclusive goal of manufacturing pure sugarcane juice rum from the estate’s crops. Little batches of rum are used to ensure the finest quality by continuously monitoring the distillation process. To produce a singular fusion of tastes and scents that are genuinely unforgettable, we employ a combination of column stills and copper pot stills.

Grand bassin:

Ganga Talao (generally known as Terrific Bassin) is a cavity lake arranged in a disconnected mountain region in the locale of Savanne, somewhere down in the core of Mauritius. It is around 550 m (1,800 ft) above ocean level. It is viewed as the most consecrated Hindu spot in Mauritius. The primary gathering of pioneers to Ganga Talao were from the town of Triolet and driven by Giri Gossayne from Terre Rouge in 1898.

The Shiv Mandir is situated on the bank of the lake and is devoted to Shiva, one of the main gods of Hinduism. There are sanctuaries committed to different divine beings also, including Ruler Hanuman, Goddess Ganga, and Master Ganesh along the Fabulous Bassin. During Shivaratri, around a portion of 1,000,000 Hindus in Mauritius go on a journey to the lake, many strolling shoeless from their homes conveying Kanvars.

Black River Gorges:

One of just two national parks in the nation, Black River Gorges National Park is the largest natural area in Mauritius. Only 2% of Mauritius’s old growth forest is still present, and it is almost entirely enclosed within the park. As a result, it provides a refuge for several famous and threatened species, including the Mauritius Kestrel, the Pink Pigeon, the Mauritian Flying Fox, and the Echo Parakeet. There are several trails totaling 60km that go to summits, waterfalls, and pure forest areas. These trails offer the best chance to witness these amazing creatures.

Chamarel 7 Colored Earth:

Sand dunes in a variety of colors (red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple, and yellow) make up this formation. Interestingly, when you blend the colors together, they will settle in different levels, creating a colorful spectrum where each sand particle returns to its own color family. You’ll even be duped since occasionally the colors may seem to be shadows. Shops in the vicinity sell little test tubes filled with colored earths. See the 83-meter-tall waterfall after that, along with breathtaking views of the surrounding trees and vegetation.
